Your Path Starts Here

Most martial arts schools say they're welcoming. Few actually are. At CTMA, age-appropriate isn't a tagline — it's how every class is designed. Kids train with peers their own age, move at their own pace, and laugh a lot. We hold them to real standards of discipline and focus, but we never push them past what they're ready for. The result is kids who want to come back.

Our Story

Mestra Cocada - Davia Moore Mestra Cocada

Tucson’s martial arts community recognizes Davia Moore’s wealth of knowledge accumulated over 28 years of dedication. She left her home for a decade to train with BJJ World Champions and the Premier Mestre of Capoeira - Mestre Acordeon.

She is a highly sought after guest teacher in the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, and is one of the first African American women to graduate to the level of Mestra — an achievement comparable to a 7th Degree Black Belt in Karate.

Instructor Pirata - Peter Illetschko Instructor Pirata

Peter Illetschko began his martial arts journey at six years old in the Judo Police Academy of Vienna, Austria. He has lived on five continents, visited over 60 countries, and throughout, continued developing across multiple physical disciplines until capoeira became a defining path in 2011.

In 2013, Peter joined Mestre Acordeon on his extraordinary bicycle journey from San Francisco, California, to Salvador Bahia, Brazil. He later documented this experience in his book, Cycle of Life – My Year on a Bicycle with Mestre Acordeon.
